"The apartment was not as advertised. The apartment is not set up for more than 4 people. The "sofa" beds were extremely hard and uncomfortable. The bedroom door upstairs only half opened and had no oxygen flow to the room at all. There is three holes cut out in the door for air flow. The bathroom was untidy. "This property is by far the best we have stayed in traveling the north side for 3 week with a family of 4. Its location is perfect nice and quiet. It’s not in the smelly part of Rotorua . We have slept in many beds and we have found the beds at under the walnut feel like home. The outside is deceiving doesn’t look like much. But the inside has everything you need as if you were at home. I’d definitely stay there again. "

"The property is across from the ocean and just down the street from the aquarium and restaurants. Was a bit disappointed some parts of the property need to have some maintenance done, the tub is pealing and needs to be replaced or fixed. The other bathroom has gaps around the bottom of the door and around one side. So a cold breeze blows in while you are trying to shower. "The setting is really lovely, night or day, sunny or cloudy. What a view- better than the photos! The house is charming, spacious, with just the right amenities and atmosphere. The bed we slept in was super comfy. Michael and Mina are extremely nice, respectful, and easy going. Glad we rented a car. There was a spot just for us, and we drove up (the narrow roads for this American driver take a little getting used to...but , everyone is polite.) the road to nearby cafes and markets. "The place was much older than the photos made it look. Yes it was a design house at some time in the past, but now it looks old and shows its age. The location is also hard to gwt to due to where it is on a busy road. It was not particularly close to the lake or park as the description made it sound. Having said that, the house is maintained well but cannot hide its age. "
