This hotel's best factor is its location, deep inside the Nikko National Park. Great bus access to go hiking and see the best waterfalls ever. The little town is a hot spring town, which is great, although there is not much besides the hot springs.
The hotel room itself was fine and much more spacious than a typical Japanese hotel room. Bed was a little stiff.
There is a private semi-outdoor hot spring you can rent for JPY2,500 for 45 minutes, which is great for couples. The private hot spring is rather basic for Japanese standards, but still nice.
Service was great. Staff is friendly and one guy gave us good tips on what to see and eat. The food was normal good. Basic breakfast buffet is always welcome, and the dinner included unique regional dishes.
