My stay at the Hollies was excellent. The owner and landlady was one of the nicest people you could wish to meet. The room was just as advertised and was spacious with a great separate bathroom. Special feature for me was the large bath. Great breakfast also.

Fantastic B&B. Beautifully decorated and very clean. Caroline the host is lovely and made a delicious breakfast. Highly recommend for business or leisure trip to Newark.

Very relaxing stay
Just returned from a lovely weekend at the Hollies. B & B was of a very high standard, beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. Perfectly placed for walk into the center where there is an abundance of places to eat and drink. Caroline was very welcoming and prepared a fantastic breakfast even though she had limited kitchen facilities due to a delayed completion of kitchen refurbishment. Have already recommended to friends.

Small but beautiful, lovely breakfast
Stayed for one night as a birthday treat for my fiancée, combined with a trip to Southwell races which is just a few miles away. The hotel is very small, just a few rooms, but beautifully decorated and the room was very well equipped and furnished. It felt like being in a good quality boutique hotel but with the personal touch of a great B&B. The proprietor, Caroline, was very welcoming and helpful, and the breakfast was excellent. Enjoyed exploring the local area as well. Highly recommended, would certainly consider returning for a short break

Fantastic little hidden gem in Newark
If you need a place to stay in Newark this is a total hidden gem. Caroline is a wonderful host and really makes you feel welcome and well looked after. The rooms are quirky, stylish and super comfortable - the matress was one of the most comfy I've ever slept in! Don't miss out on the breakfast as Caroline is a great cook. Overall a great experience and will be looking for an excuse to stay again.

Comfortable B&B in great location.
We stayed for a couple of days midweek whilst visiting the Newark Antiques fair. It was in a lovely quiet location only 5 minutes walk from the town centre. Lovely old building renovated to a good standard with great breakfast. Beds were very comfortable and hostess very friendly. Would highly recommend.

Close to shops & restaurants, fab location.
We have stayed here once before and really enjoyed our time there, this visit was No disappointment as the new owner was 1st class, with a warm and friendly manner that put us both at ease straight away. Room was lovely with lots of little extras if required, breakfast again 1st class, all in all a fantastic weekend stay. A big thank you.

Wonderful mid week break
The room was fabulous. Lots of space and stunning in terms of decor. Bed huge! The room we had was one with private bathroom which was also excellent and with lots of lovely products to use. Breakfast was delicious and the host was lovely. Would definitely stay again.

Gorgeous Georgian...
Booked one overnight stay as we were attending a wedding at the nearby Kelham House. Caroline is a divine host who can't do enough to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. Beautiful rooms, a wonderful breakfast and a calm and relaxing atmosphere. We didn't want to leave! Thank you Caroline!

Newark Festival
We were attending the Newark festival but due to other commitments arrived at 6pm. Caroline was really friendly and welcoming. She even dropped us off in her car on the way to Waitrose. Full cooked breakfast was excellent. Would highly recommend and plan to stay there again.

Great place to stay.
Great place to stay , very friendly welcome , nice room nice tea and coffee with a choice of biscuits , great breakfast . There's pubs etc in short walking distance. Parking is in the street next to the hotel I had no problems parking but it may be at other times . I will 100% be using the Hollies again .

The Hollies is a fabulous place to stay
We stayed for one night at The Hollies and will hopefully return soon. The house is a fusion of traditional Georgian and modern chic. It is decorated and maintained to a very high standard, really beautiful. The owner Caroline is friendly and very welcoming. Our room was beautifully decorated, the bathroom was fabulous, especially the large shower, high class toiletries and fluffy white towels. Little touches, such as the luxuriant duvet and cotton bedding, the decanter of port and selection of chocolates were much appreciated. Breakfast was plentiful consisting of top quality produce, absolutely 1st class. Would highly recommend The Hollies. Thank you Caroline for sharing your beautiful home, hope to stay again soon.

Beautiful Georgian House with friendly welcome.
This B+B was beautifully attired Georgian House (but with a new modern shower. The brass bed was large and very comfortable. Breakfast served fine food items and the little decanter of port was appreciated. Wish I had had time to visit the museum on the Civil War!

One night stay for a friends wedding. Arrived early at midday, able to check in and recommended an excellent pub for lunch by our lovely host Caroline. Walking distance to all the towns amenities. An great nights sleep on a very comfortable bed, followed by a very wide selection of breakfast food.

Charmante maison typiquement anglaise à la décoration so british. Chambre spacieuse joliment décorée. Petit déjeuner royal, Caroline la propriétaire est aussi petits soins pour ses hôtes. Je recommande.

The Hollies - En otroligt bekväm vistelse!
Anlände vid midnatt, två timmar efter att deras incheckning egentligen stänger, men vi hade dealat innan att det gick bra. Hon anpassade sig till mina behov. Blev sedan visad till mitt rum och så bestämde vi vid vilken tid hon skulle servera frukost. Jag fick välja när jag ville äta. Väldigt flexibelt! Rummet var utmärkt och leka så badrummet. Ägaren är fantastiskt trevlig! Bor ni här måste ni för övrigt testa hennes äggröra och bacon. Godare äggröra får man leta efter!
