We enjoyed our stay in one of the nicer rooms facing the park on the 10th floor, the room was really quite nice. We loved how quiet and private the entrance to the hotel felt after a few days of the bustling around the city.
There were a few issues that made it hard for us to give a higher score.
The common spaces felt a bit tired, especially the bar/lounge facing the street with the big white couches. This area looked overused and somewhat dirty/unkept. We spent time here playing cards, having drinks/coffee and were dissappointed at how overused the space felt.
The complimentary coffee was great, but the mention of fresh fruit was why I went down the first day. I was dissappointed that even at 7a, there were just 3 bruised apples.
3. We felt unwelcome and rushed when we went up to the rooftop for happy hour. We made a reservation initially to go up and have a drink before going to dinner, but the reservation stated that we had a $400 minimum if we wanted a reservation, so we cancelled it. We decided to just go up and we couldnt be seated fast enough, in a hot spot right in the sun, no ask if we wanted to sit elsewhere (there was PLENTY of room at 5:15pm). We sat and ordered 2 drinks. The drink we ordered for my husband, we were told, they were out of, so we asked for something else, then were told again, that they didnt have those ingredients as well. We were just ordering off the menu. He ended up with tonic water instead
For the cost we will likely not book here again.
