Hotels.com put us in a hotel that was closed
The hotel was closed, and we received no notice about the closure from it or from Hotels.com, etc. The building had been sold to the city as a homeless shelter two days before our stay was to begin. We had to scramble to find a place to stay and paid more than what we would have paid at the LaQuinta. Ridiculous

Siamo arrivati circa alle 21.00 della sera, dopo 15 ore di viaggio tra 2 voli, uno scalo, un viaggio in treno è uno inn metro, con 3 minori stanchi, per le strade di periferia di Brooklyn di sera, con 5 valigie e tutte le difficoltà che comportano queste situazioni. Entriamo nella hall..trasandata e sporca, dove ci attende un ragazzo dal fare poco alberghiero, che ci dice che l’hotel è chiuso per ispezioni poco note, che ci avrebbero reso eventuale caparra ma che la camera non c’era più..stop. Probabilmente era lì solo per avvertire chi arrivava che non avrebbe avuto pernottamento, non ci ha aiutato in alcun modo a cercare altro o ad indicarci altre strutture, stava seduto e ci guardava. Siamo usciti e dopo aver consumato 15€ di giga per 3 minuti di ricerca online che non ha portato a niente, abbiamo iniziato a girare per Brooklyn alla ricerca di una struttura per poter passare la notte prima e possibilmente i giorni di permanenza. Fine della storia triste.

Great Job to whomever caught the profile pic of the hotel!! My room faced the rear parking lot ($25 a night on a first come first serve basis). The street leading to the lot was blocked off and there was a party EVERY NIGHT in the parking lot. Not to mention, the wall of tents and homeless people that live back there as well. There was also a homeless couple that was caught squatting in one of the rooms and was thrown out by hotel workers. Totally NOT a part of their job but, they did what was necessary. The staff was super nice and very transparent about the situation and advised us to check our doors when leaving out to prevent theft and further squatting. They understood the conditions were not great and made do with what they could.

Almost no available parking except if you’re lucky to get one of the 10 spaces in their lot behind the hotel for $25. The next day my car was blocked in and even had a car in the lot with people selling things from their trunk. I could see this from the room I was given in the “cellar”. The window air conditioner changed temperature numbers on screen but temp. never actually changed and at one point just stopped. I had to shut down from outlet for five minutes then restart. Room appeared clean otherwise and bed was comfortable for the time I was in it. I probably would not stay there again

I didn’t like anything not friendly the housekeeper left the door open when we asked for toilet paper then u gonna pay for parking never once did I stay in any hotels n I had to pay for parking no extra blankets the tile coming up

Clean hotel but service lacking
Hotel was in good condition & spacious. Had an issue with my bedding and notified front desk I needed it replaced when I left @9am, when I returned @1245am that night, it still was not addressed. After telling front desk, new bedding was brought 45 minutes later.

Budget hotel no complain
Budget hotel offers according to its price. Should not expect anything extra. Those who wants to use Subway for travelling Manhattan is convenient.

My stay was comfortable and quiet. I needed some rest and was able to regroup. There was coffee and snacks at the lobby and I was able to buy food locally and keep it in the refrigerator in the room, plus there was a microwave as well. The only issue was the elevator broke down on my check out day.

Staff was not helpful at all. Their elevator stopped working in the morning and we had to take the stairs down from the 7th floor with 2 suite cases. I understand the hotel can't do much if the elevator broke, but the front desk lady was talking to everyone like it's our problem and we must deal with it - the hotel has nothing to do with this. Not even one sorry for the situation.

The good thing was the proximity to the subway. Much below average property. Poor breakfast, surrounding area not clean. House keeping not consistent. Old building, dirty sofa bed. Not to be repeated. Very bad value for money.

There should be more parking accommodations as street parking is not free and it’s impossible to pay every 2 hours for a spot right near the hotel, resulting in a parking ticket of more than $100!!!!!! Very disappointing way to end the trip

Biggest complaint was that the hallway always smelled of pot, and the lobby sometimes did as well. Staff were respectful and helpful, though, and the room was quiet and clean.

Give this place a miss. It does not represent good value for money--super noisy as it faces the train tracks so you hear the trains rattling all night, the AC wasn't working and I overheard other guests complaining about the same issue, and the breakfast was just a couple of cereal boxes on a table in the lobby.
