Very close to Madison Square Garden so very convenient in terms of location. Breakfast was good but there are not enough seats to accommodate everyone. Very crowded and hard to move around. There are many places to sit and eat outside but only if the weather is good. Staff was friendly and the room and facilities were clean.

It was a good stay and a hotel with a great location. Friendly staff and a clean facility. My only warning to visitors is to bring something to cover the peephole. Definitely an issue there.

Tight quarters don't matter if all you need is a bed at a reasonable price in a good location to see the sights or just enjoy dining, shopping, and people watching in New York City. The hotel is located near public transportation, and the continental breakfast was great! Staff was polite and helpful. There's no pool or gym; but who needs a swimming pool if you're there to see New York City; and who needs a gym if you'll get plenty of exercise walking the streets of New York?

Breakfast and location were the high points. The staff were excellent and helpful. Our room was great, but the tub was plugged and wouldn’t drain. We had to ask three different times to get it drained. They did drain it and were efficient, but it continuously was an issue. Staff were great, but this was very inconvenient when trying to get ready for the day. The room was tidied, but randomly no garbage can or hairdryer. They were great to provide once we asked. The room was clean and I’d consider staying again for location and breakfast alone; however , the housekeeping component was lacking.

The staff earned five stars for first-rate service including accommodating us with early check in and late check out plus baggage storage for a few hours. The room was newly renovated and very comfortable and clean. Will definitely return!

Hotel was a 20 minute walk from Grand Central and a 5 minute walk to MSG. Perfect location! Room was a bit small, but very clean and comfortable.

The door let visible light (and noise) from the hallway into the room. The heater didn't respond to temperature control. Our only option while sleeping was to have it on and be too hot or off and be cold. The room is so tight it is difficult to move between the furniture. The windows are very drafty. The telephone didn't work. The breakfast area is so tight that people trying to get food bump into you while you are seated eating. It felt old and claustrophobic. I wouldn't stay there again.

I really liked the breakfast that was included. The room was clean and reasonable price. Close to Madison Square Garden and shopping and transit. Hotel under construction which led to wait times for elevator and noisy at times. Overall it was convenient and would return to this property again. The water bottles are free in the AM.Grab one at breakfast.

Would definitely stay here again
Everything was an excellent experience. Service was great...staff genuinely liked each other and worked together and you could tell. Breakfast was as described. We were able to check in a couple hours early as they did have a room available. As many free bottles of water as we wanted anytime, not just at breakfast. The only thing that was not great were some of the teenage guests also on our floor....but the hotel didnt have much control over their manners.

This property can’t be beat as far as affordability and convenience. It’s located very close to the subway, restaurants and shopping. However, it is in dire need of updating. The room was small (which I expected for NYC) and the street noise made it very difficult to sleep. The safe in our room was broken and the inner door handle to the room actually came off the first time I tried to exit the room. The toilet seat was loosely attached and felt like it was going to come off when you sat on it. The water in the bathroom sink constantly ran scalding hot to freezing cold. We weren’t able to utilize the free breakfast due to the dining area being very small and incredibly crowded but with so many food options nearby that didn’t bother us. If you’re looking for a luxurious stay then this is not the property for you but if you want cheap and convenient then this is a good option.
