My arrival at the hotel was early morning. I had booked the room to be available from the previous night. But when I arrived at the hotel, they didn’t have my room. I had even sent them a message regarding my late arrival. The staff was not courteous in dealing with this matter.

We liked that it was in Times Square but it wasn’t as crowded as it was in the “epicenter” of Times Square. Great breakfast. Fast and easy check-in.

So convenient to everything. 5 minutes to Times Square but far enough outside if you want to avoid the madness. Extremely convenient to most of the theaters. And only a 10 minute walk to our favorite place to grab a burger & beer (Seans Bar & Kitchen) in NYC.

My stay at the Sheraton wasn't a bad one until it came to checkout time. I was promised a $30 credit if dining was at one of their selected places. They charge you for the full $30 plus taxes and fees with the promise that they will credit the money back to you after they complete their processing, which "may take a couple days". I ate at one of their designated spots twice, spending more than the required amount, submitted my room number per the instructions and still, over a month later, even after 3 calls to the hotel, I have not received my money back. It's certainly not about the $30 ; it's about the integrity and honesty in their advertising. I definitely would have dined somewhere else in NY rather than at their mediocre chosen establishments. This is such a ridiculous run-around and simply for this, I would not recommend staying here.

We stayed at the hotel for 2 weeks. The hotel was very busy for the whole time we were there. They charge $30 tax destination fee and in return you can spend up to $30 in their restaurants. But be careful and check your bill as they did not return the full credit - this happened multiple times. On the positive it is a great location near Times Square.

We had a great stay. There were a lot of large groups that stayed at this hotel but it did not disturb us. I was disappointed that they charged me to give me the room early as they have never done that before. They used to be very understanding about people traveling from the west coast wanting the room a bit early. I did get my room early but I had to pay extra. Otherwise everything was great.

We chose the Sheraton because it was supposedly pet friendly. Upon arrival we were informed we couldn't leave our dog alone in the room. That defeats the purpose of being a pet friendly property. Will never stay at a Sheraton because of that ridiculous policy.

The photos do not properly reflect what state the property is in. It is rundown and beat up looking. Rooms are very small, even for NYC. Furniture and walls are beat up from people staying over the years. Walls are thin, you can hear voices from rooms around you, people blowing noises, and toilets flushing.

They charged me $50 to check in an hour early but the room was ready. Totally unnecessary in my opinon. And I got tripped up by a stroller entering the hotel, fell down and no staff assisted me or asked if I was alright.

Bathroom did not have a towel rack. No fridge in the room. No bath towels during the first night and staff was not very helpful, especially the front desk who told us to dial 0 when we complained, instead of trying to fix the situation. We had to call again the next day to get towels. No hair conditioner. Not enough coffee for 2. Long lines at the Starbucks in the lobby which was very poorly managed. At one point only one employee were making the coffee while two others were stocking the fridge.

We liked our room a lot. King size bed and partial view of Time Square. The mini-fridge wasn’t usable and locked in a cabinet. They don’t have room service and the TV service didn’t work in our room. The staff was really nice but we had to wait 45 minutes for check in.

Stay away from this hotel. We checked in online (like they told us too) around 10 a.m. and then again in person around noon when we dropped off our bags. They told us we could get a room at 4 p.m. (the official checkin time). We did some things in the city and went back to get our rooms at 7 p.m. The line was extremely long and it quickly became clear people were very upset. When we got to an agent, he reported that they didn't have the room we had booked ready (two double beds for me and my husband and our kid). We could take a king or wait, though he didn't know for how long. There was no apology and he blamed us, saying we hadn't checked in (although we had done so twice). Eventually we took the king, which is, of course, a much cheaper room. They gave us some breakfast vouchers, but that was it. Total rip off. No apology. If you stay here, check in early and insist that they take your credit card then and block off your rooms. But be prepared for long waits both in check in and bag check. I've stayed in smaller hotels in NYC before and had a much better experience. Other people were having similar experiences - they gave one man a room with NO BEDS in it! And then tried to get four work colleagues to stay in a room with one king. It was pretty nutty. Beware!

I asked at the front desk if i can arrange for a cab in the morning since my flight was super early and i had to leave at 3:30am. They told me that next morning the bell hop desk person will be there and help me with that. This morning when i approached the bell desk and asked if he can call for a cab (since i didn't want to wonder the streets of NY at 3am waiving for taxis) the bell person barked at me that they dont have that service, and pointed to the door as he was telling me get out and figure it out. As soon as i walked out, i saw a taxi parked in the front and waved it down. By the time i got in the car, i saw the bell guy rushing to the cab driver who secretly slipped money in bell hop guy's hand. Very shady and rude. Disappointed of Sheraton and the brand they used to represent.

Terrible lines to grab coffee or have breakfast in the hotel restaurant and Starbucks. They give you a daily allowance to redeem for drinks/food, that they charge as mandatory destination fee. Over 1 hour wait time every day for our 7 days stay. Same with lines to check in or getting help from reception. Big groups visiting/staying in hotel, making it very crowded at times. When talking to management about the issues they say they have no influence on situation as it’s owners decision to run it this way. Interesting….

My stay at the Sheraton Times Square was an experience of contrasts. Located in an enviable position, the hotel promised a lot at the outset. However, I encountered considerable issues from the start of my visit. During the first two days, the room assigned to me had significant problems: the key to operate the bathtub faucet did not work, and the sink was also out of service. Despite my complaints, and personnel being sent supposedly to address these issues, the problems persisted for two nights.Acknowledging the situation, the management finally moved us to a different room on the last day of our stay. Additionally, they promised not to charge the accommodation fee of 60 dollars as a gesture of compensation for the inconvenience suffered. However, upon reviewing my statement, I noticed an unrecognized charge of 54 dollars, which adds an additional layer of frustration to my experience.Despite the challenges faced, it is fair to mention that the staff showed good intentions, although they were clearly overwhelmed by the circumstances. This experience has highlighted the importance of effective management and a swift response to guest issues to not tarnish the reputation of an establishment as well-located and with as much potential as the Sheraton Times Square.I hope my experience serves as a call to attention to improve maintenance and customer service aspects.

Location was great. But not enough electrical outlets, no small wash rags, to plug in refrigerator you had to unplug lamp which voided out those USB PLUGS. Beds are small and had to pay $45.00 per night for an extra double bed. Hot water faucet very loose. Couldn’t raise curtain. $30.00 destination fee is not good, bathtub slow to drain, toilet stopped up the first night. Supposed to be able to get breakfast at Starbucks. The line was at least 40 minutes long.
