"The staff at the front desk was not super helpful aside from being rude. The concierge was wonderful and 5 stars to him. He made sure our checkout was seamless and called us a cab to the airport. Any other information that we asked from the front desk was given without the idea of people who don’t live there. There is only one complimentary water bottle offered per room no matter how many guests. If you call and ask for another one they will tell you no. We asked if there was a way to look over to bourbon street and instead of saying yes you are welcome to the lobby which we ended up doing that or something similar the response was unless you pay $100 extra per night you don’t. It was all just very unfriendly. The place is clean and they clean your rooms everyday. The courtyard balcony overlooks a parking lot and the pool. All the streets around the hotel are closed at night to give access to the night crowds. If you are looking for a place to drink and party overnight this is your place. A lot of construction going on on bourbon May2026. The streets are very smelly. If you are not looking for this stay by magazine street or the business district."
The Roosevelt New Orleans, A Waldorf Astoria Hotel
6/10 Okay
"Hot water was lacking, so if you like cold morning showers you'll be right at home.
$57/day for valet is nonsense.
$25 dollars to rent a movie I should be able to access from my netflix account is absurd.
Charges to my bill b/c a sensor in the room was triggered when a beverage or snack from the minibar was moved is a great way to generate revenue without an expense. Thankfully I looked at my bill and remove ~$100 in charges.
There were smells like a gas station bathroom in different areas of the hotel. Not everywhere, but I'm guessing it's related to the suffering sewage/utilities in downtown NOLA.
Upon arrival the valet didn't even offer to help with bags. Not a big deal for me, but an offer would have been appreciated and shown a level of service appropriate for a Waldorf Astoria property."
