I had a wonderful stay! The hotel was beautiful, clean, and very comfortable. The staff was friendly and welcoming, and everything was well maintained. I really enjoyed the atmosphere and had a great experience overall. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others.
I stayed at the hotel for two weeks and I feel comfortable, The staff was very friendly. The hotel enjoys a central and safe location within the Yale University area.
We were surprised that there was only one chair in the room and it was a desk chair on rollers. There was no fridge or ice bucket, but they brought a small fridge when asked. There were no usb plugs in the room and no outlets very close to the bedside tables to hook up our power cords. The restaurant was nice and the hotel lobby was exceptionally comfortable. The bed was comfortable.
We paid close to $500 per night and, unfortunately, didn’t feel the hotel was worth the price. The rooms themselves are very basic and quite small, with not even a fridge or kettle provided. The bathrooms are also very compact, with hardly any counter space for toiletries and virtually no storage.
Breakfast was disappointing as well, the omelet was dry and the options were very basic. For around the same price, we found it much better to go to Café Florian across the street.
That said, the staff were wonderful, friendly, helpful, and welcoming throughout our stay. Overall, our main disappointment was simply that the quality of the rooms and amenities did not match the price point.
Room is clean and comfortable. Always a pleasant place to stay while in New Haven, I’ve stayed here several times and enjoy it. It’s situated close to area restaurants, bars and shopping where everything is walkable. Set right in the middle of Yale campus.
Simply one of the best hotel experiences my wife and I have ever had. The staff was great - helpful and knowledgeable, and we’re looking forward to our next stay.
