Baymont by Wyndham New Braunfels TX

8/10 Good

"Clean room, small breakfast, a/c was great. The carpet in the room was very outdated and needs to be replaced (tears by door). There were a ton of sugar ants all around in parking lot and they got inside my truck!!! We let the maintenance guy know and he came out and sprayed immediately. Other than that it was a comfy hotel, walking distance to restaurants."

"We had a great stay at Petit Cowboy! It's tucked away in a semi-secluded-feeling residential area within very close driving distance to the town center (but not right in the middle all the action in town, if that matters to you). The property consist of many A-frame cabins (2 units per cabin - one upstairs and one downstairs) situated right on the Comal River where it appears to begin. There's fishing allowed, but it's not really a spot on the river where you want to get in and swim. There's a good sized pool, which seemed very popular during the day, with a clubhouse/small bar (which doubles as the check in desk) that serves food and drinks all day/night. We were in an upstairs unit and the room was clean, modernized and comfortable. It had a quiet mini-split AC that kept the unit nice and cool even in 100+ degree weather. We had a little kitchenette with fridge and K-cups for coffee. The beds were very comfortable and the room was cozy with a window looking over the river down below. We liked that the pool & bar stays open at night, and the few people enjoying the pool at night were quiet and respectful. We didn't eat there, but they appeared to have a pretty good little menu for an onsite cafe. The only other feedback I'd give them is that the floor of the upstairs balcony (outside our door) was made of particle wood and it was clearly rotting away in one spot & needs replacing. It seemed like it could be a mild safety hazard if you were walking out the door barefoot."

"Everything was as expected for the price. Stayed here for a work trip and the rooms were clean with the bathroom needing a minor touch up paint but that common in every hotel unless you pay $200+ per night. The staff were very helpful and very friendly. I plan on staying here again without worry!"
