"I made the reservation in the afternoon of the date I wanted to stay. Some time after making the reservation I called to ask how to check-in given that it said there is no front desk and I didn't receive any instructions. I was told in German they are fully booked, despite having a confirmed reservation (and the hotels.com website having several rooms there). I asked how can it be and was told that if I want to speak with someone in English I should call again in 0.5-1 hours. I called more than...

Manchmal schien das Personal angesichts der vielen Gäste ein wenig überfordert, aber alle waren sehr freundlich und engagiert. Es bleibt anzumerken, dass mittlerweile fast alle Hotels in Deutschland eine Klimaanlage bräuchten. Diese fehlt hier leider, aber man konnte das mit einem Insektenschutzgitter versehene Fenster...

"Its fine and certainly well located, but very basic. Sheets pretty rough and the towel had been left in a washer too long. Very musty smelling. Be warned, hotel is right under bell tower and you do hear it throughout the night if window is open."
