"I stayed in an ocean front, hot tub room and was really surprised by how large the space was. Very clean. Had a mini-fridge (with items for purchase in it, but also space for your things), two loungers and a sofa on the deck, and double showers. The AC consistently worked, and I found the bed, towels, etc. to be high quality. We paid to park our rental car at the hotel which was a bit pricey, but they did essentially valet it for us; on-street parking was available, but we also visited during the shoulder season. The beach is directly across a small but busy street; it is a pebble/sand beach that can have high surf during windstorms, but it is perfect for most purposes. The one thing we wish we’d known before traveling: it is not really walking distance to much of interest. We saw other reviews claiming easy bus/train routes to the old town center, but that was not our experience. Even slightly handicapped or heat-sensitive travelers will find they either have to drive (a very curvy, tight) road to town (& pay for parking) or take taxis. If you want a true beach vacation—quieter, no “fine dining,” beach bar kinda time—then this is perfect. Note that it is in Naxos, not Taomorina. That said, we had a really lovely time, and the room was pretty perfect."

"this hotel is a treasure. The proprietor and his staff are wonderful and gracious. There is even a dog on site. Be aware it is not close to the beach by foot and is down the hill from Tower Meena so you need a car or will rely on taxis. You may be very glad you stayed outside of the city walls because it is calm and beautiful here."

"Location was beautiful. Property was outstanding. Room was stunning. Definitely 5 star elements. Be mindful that the hotel is on the water in Capotaormina and the town of Taormina is quite a hike uphill to get to. Hotel offers free shuttle service, but it's not continuous (gaps out for a few hours after lunch for some reason) and you need to reserve a seat there and back. The public bus is very convenient to take you there, but you need to be mindful of what stop to go to when you leave the hotel (there are two). Use the front desk, although they aren't as helpful as one would expect from this type of property. Even though this was the most 'luxury' of the hotels on our trip (5 hotels), the breakfast wasn't up to par."

"We had a very mixed experience here. First thing to be aware of is that apparently air conditioning is at the discretion of management. We specifically booked somewhere with AC as we knew it could get hot in May and I’m sensitive to heat. When we arrived we thought it was broken and we were told it was actually off as it had not been turned on for the building yet this season, even though the weather was already hot. Not only was it hot in our room but it was incredibly stale air as there seemed to be very little circulation. It made me feel nauseous. We asked for a fan and they did not have one. We did everything we could to get it turned on and eventually we were told it would be turned on the next day, which it was. The staff at the front desk did try to help but ultimately it wasn’t their decision. If it hadn’t been turned on the next day we would have left. The pool was only open until 6pm so we couldn’t cool off that way either. Very nice looking pool but a shame we didn’t get to use it. The place was also a bit loud. Our room faced the train and the entrance. The first night we were woken up a little after midnight by fireworks being set off in front of the building. Once other thing to note that is that Google Maps will tell you that it is a 6 minute walk from the train station. It is not. They try to have you cross train tracks and a fence. Unless you want to walk at least 20 minutes (sometimes on very busy roads with no sidewalk) then book a taxi."
