"This is a very unique hotel in Kauai-nothing fancy but very well maintained. Buildings moved from previous location many years ago. Location a little off the beaten path. Its located behind the Kalapaki harbor. Close to activities in Lihue. We have stayed there three times to start vac early and stay extra after main hotel location."

"Very old property. Had a room upstairs right next to the stairs. Other guests were dragging suitcases up right next to our open window. Very noisy. Had to keep windows open because it was very warm and there was NO AC! And no elevator for us to get our luggage to our room. Fortunately someone helped us as we are in our late sixties. "Beautiful grounds and beach view and stay on Kalapakī Bay. Helpful staff all with the Aloha Spirit. Many great restaurants and coffee shops close by. Room had a balcony with a gorgeous view of the pool, beach and bay. Hotel provided many activities for all ages."

"The staff at Kauai Shores are wonderful. Everyone at the front desk: Novelle, Chevy and Angela are amazing and thoughtful. They go out of their way to make sure your stay is perfect. Robertino helped us with our television and finding the World Cup channel. Peter makes sure the plants are pristine and well cared for. "We had a ground level room the was very convenient for walking to the pool and the general area. Was very surprised and pleased to have a washer and dryer in the room because this was the last place we were staying on the trip and was nice to have a refresh!
