"Desde el principio la comunicación con el personal ha sido hostil. Hicieron caso omiso de mis peticiones. En una localidad donde no hay servicios, tienen inhabilitado el microondas. "Hôtel propre, mais accueil glacial, aucun sourire, on ne prend pas la peine de répondre à nos questions, on a le sentiment d ennuyer la réceptionniste quand on arrive. Nous avons eu le droit a une coupure d eau, impossible de prendre notre douche le matin avant de partir, l'eau ne coulait pas des robinets, ni de la douche, par contre la chasse d eau fonctionnait. Les prix du restaurant sont excessifs pour ce qui est proposé et tous les autres restaurants ferme très tôt, donc ils ont le monopole....

"Nice hotel lovely atmosphere. Amazing pool and lovely pool and bar staff. 30 min walk through a lovely park to the beach. €6 in an Uber. Nice bars on the way back from the beach. €1:60 a wine .."

"They say when you come to Euskadi you don't make friends, you make family. Well... at Maria Chirtina they make you feel at home. The attention to details, the service and the beautiful architecture and decor make it one of the finest hotels I've been in my life. Will come back for sure!"

Axel Hotel San Sebastián - Adults Only

"This is an Axel hotel so I expected certain amenities and support. The room was great and spacious, as well as finely equipped. The pool area was good but lacked services like food and drinks. There was no rooftop scene to get into at night. Recommendations about bars and nightlife were severely lacking. There were a couple small touches at the pool area, like a small glass of champagne was served once while I was there. Could be an amazing property with a few enhancements being made. Location cannot be beat. The staff was very friendly and helpful!!! The property and area very safe day and night. There were a few restaurants right around the corner with a very local vibe."

"Iconic hotel on La Concha beach. Can't beat the location! Staff is amazing. Breakfast buffet so yummy, although not inexpensive. The restaurant and bar staff on point. Front desk team helpful. Concierge, while a lovely person, gave a few recommendations that were "duds." The hotel is "older" and we had some issues with our air conditioning maintenance responded changed filters, but it never got to a temperature that was cool enough for us; but it was also a heatwave, so I assume the system was stressed out. We had an ocean view which was amazing although the room itself was smaller than expected. Large bathroom! Overall, great stay!"
