Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center
8/10 Good
"Prior to the appointment I had called to talk with someone about getting a room facing the water. However when I got there the person at the front desk made it seem as though the number I called was incorrect and after showing the number I called, I was told that it was the resort number but sometimes the people on the other side of the phone are not at the property so the information I was given about my room being able to change. The room we had was nice overall but would have been nicer. The location was central to where we needed to go. There was a concierge person (older woman) who gave my partner and me suggestions for M & S for lunch and an appetizer card, which was helpful. Overall, a good stay."
Hamilton Hotel Washington DC
10/10 Excellent
"This hotel was amazing in looks and location. This was our first time to Washington DC. Everything was relatively within walking distance. The room was nice a little small for 3 people but overall very nice. We upgraded to a park view that was amazing also. The beds were very comfortable and soft. Plenty of pillows. Plenty of towels. And the lotions, shampoos, conditioners and body wash was great in smell and size. The elevators were a bit small and slow. The water in the shower was extremely hot (way to hot). The parking situation was a shock that was not informed to me when booking or when we arrived. The parking is valet only BUT the hotel charges you 69$ a night for it. I am ok with that because everywhere in the city you have to pay for parking. I just would have liked it if the booking site or the hotel would inform their guests of this instead of being surprised 2 days later with a charge. Overall I was very happy."
