"The property seems to be recently updated, it is modern, and clean. The amenity is lacking a few things (for example, it tells the guest to wash dishes and put them away but doesn’t provide a clothe to dry them). Also, the instruction isn’t super clear. The instruction reads to leave the key on the table when checking out (that’s what it says literary in English), when in fact you need to lock and put the key in the lockbox as one example. Also the road to access the property is quite narrow...

"Absolutely gorgeous place, super close to Nara park. After hiking to Mount Wakakusa my wife and I enjoyed the private hot springs. It was surreal enjoying the hot water while listening to the rain in the rock garden area. We would definitely come back if we find ourselves in Nara. "

"This was a simply magnificent Hotel. From the moment we walked in to the moment we left the service was exceptional. The breakfast was superb and the roof top terrace amazing."

"A beautiful spot in the forest, although just a bit far from the sights in Nara. The staff was lovely and the room quite comfortable, by Western standards for a Japanese room (although the futons were by far the hardest and most uncomfortable of the three ryokans we visited). The meals lived up to the reviews, beautifully presented true kaiseki."

"This is one of the best hotels in Nara I would say - perfect location (very close to JR but quiet), nice and helpful staff, free amenities and drip coffee - quality is good, hot spring is small but clean and neat, very clean room, inexpensive when the quality is so high!
I am so happy to have stayed here. Would definite come back when I visit Nara again."

10/10 Excellent
"I had a wonderful stay at the hotel! The staff truly made a difference with their kindness, efficiency, and friendly demeanor.
Every interaction left me feeling valued and taken care of—it's rare to see such exceptional service. Thank you for creating such a welcoming atmosphere.
On the third day, our fridge stopped working, but the team quickly stepped in to provide us with a new one. They even offered to replace the milk that had been frozen in the malfunctioning fridge. Keisuke Ueda San and especially Ago San made our experience truly memorable. "
"Convenient. Great location. Rooms are clean and well thought out. Drinks in the lobby and can leave luggage to explore.
One of the better chain hotels. "
"I stayed in 7 different hotels during my 5 week Asia trip and this would probably rank at 1 or 2. I stayed in the standard twin room (23SQM). The finishes and decor was top notch, and that washroom was so nice. Clean, sleak and had an amazing shower. My 5yr old said he loved the shower. Check in and out took maybe 5 mins each. Staff helped with luggage delivery to our next hotel. Size wise, I would say with 3 ppl and 5 luggages it did make our room a bit cramped. For Japan standards though it was better than our hotel in Tokyo.
Location wise, there's a convenience store, bakery and subway station right outside the hotel."
