The beach is not suitable for swimming due to heavy surf and a strong side current but Talpe beach a 1.5k walk or tuk-tuk away has a safe beach behind a reef. "

Service in general was very spot on especially Chaminda, who took really good care of us. "This property is a stunning gem away from the heat and bustle of Galle Fort. A beautiful pool and a sea breeze is definite respite during the day A 5 minute tuk tuk ride will take you to the Fort. The rooms are large. The beds very comfy. The shower was perfect. All decorated simply and in keeping with the building 150 year age. Then there is Mohan who appears like magic when you need something. He is kind and friendly, the perfect host..if he offers to make you a traditional lunch or dinner say YES. Fresh fish and prawn curry he prepared was better than any restaurant in Galle. Get some beers or wine and stay in for the night. I am happy i made the move from staying in the Fort to stay here. Thank you Mohan and team for a fantastic. I will be back! Do not hesitate, this is a tranquil oasis."

"Helpful staff. Huge family room, more like an apartment, which opened right onto pool. Walk to jungle beach and peace pagoda. The staff put on a beautiful Christmas morning breakfast as well."

"Loved this little bit of paradise. The pool and view is the highlight, very quiet and tranquil, a great place to relax and unwind. Great food, fresh and very reasonable. Quiet remote but taxi or tuk tuk is easy to arrange via the reception. Rooms vary, some have better lake views than others, but very clean and well arranged and a good size. Only negative is that there is no mini-bar so no easy to keep you water and drinks called, although you can always get ice from the bar. Suits couples more than families. Staff are lovely and super helpful. Highly recommend."

"We stayed for 10 days and this hotel was perfect. Two pools, never too crowded, well maintained. Public areas and rooms very clean. Room had a great balcony, lovely sunset view. The staff are brilliant, so welcoming, helpful, always cheerful. We only used the restaurant twice and the food was good both times. It’s 10 min walk down to Unawatuna beach, 15 min tuk tuk to Jungle beach. Unawatuna has lots of food options and shops but there are also some great places to eat within a few mins walk of the hotel.
