"Clean room, great staff and nice restaurants"

"What I liked was the nice staff and how they keep the place clean. I didn’t like how people went to the swimming pool without being a guest."

"Beach acces and decent pool. Rooms are a little dated but not bad. Beds are small. coule be Full size or better yet queen would be best. Parking is ok but watch out for birds to poop if parked near trees. All else is ok wouldn't mind staying again. Price for stay is ok and could be better."

"Staying at Upper Deck was seriously AMAZING! From the staff to the amenities, everything was great. My husband and I had a blast hanging out by the pool all day and ate wonderful dinners prepared by the bar chefs. We can’t wait to go back to SPI just to stay here again!"

"Room was clean. Most of the staff was nice. Pool area was very loud late at night. Boat lift fees were very high and even an additional $25.00 would have been charged to walk on the dock even if I paid for a boat lift rental."

"Our stay here was extremely disappointing. Upon arrival, the front desk employee was rude and dismissive. He stayed on the phone while staring at me instead of helping, then told us housekeeping was behind and didn’t know when rooms would be ready. When we finally received keys, we walked into a room that was already occupied with someone else’s luggage and belongings still inside. "Parking was our biggest issue, having to walk a good three mins to enter was not great. Made us not want to leave to site see. We Ordered drinks by the bar ( poolside service) and they NEVER came back with our order we waited over an hour.. Then our room ac was hot all afternoon until maintenance came by. Other than that pool and room were in great standards. Clean and fresh. Up front hotel Staff (including cady boy) were also very nice and friendly."

"The beachfront location makes it a very convenient place to stay, because you can easily be at the beach and enjoy the view. It’s a well maintained place with an excellent food at the bar, where you can eat while you feel the breeze of the ocean . The friendly and welcoming staff are very helpful all times. Definitely it’s a recommended place to visit South Padre Island."
