We arrived from Milan a lot earlier than the check in window, and they offered to hold our bags, gave us an tour of all of the amenities the hotel had to offer, and give us a complimentary car to drive ourselves to the city center while we waited for our room. "We loved staying in this hotel with its unique history and beautiful decor. It is a special place in a wonderful location and we had fabulous views from our balcony. The walk to Morcote took under 30 minutes with lovely views but you need to wear trainers as the path is uneven. We also enjoyed walking to the castle through the vineyards and exploring lake Lugano by bus and boat. We tended to get Uber taxi’s back up to to hotel as it was a steep climb ( cost 18CHF) "
