I rarely leave negative reviews, but this stay was disappointing — not because of the room itself, but because of how an issue was handled.
The main problem was that the TV in my room did not work for the duration of my stay. I reported it on the first day and was assured it would be fixed. Each day I followed up, and each day I was told it had been “marked as completed” — yet nothing had actually been done. No repair, no replacement, a room move but only if I was there for 8am prompt the day before I left, no real explanation. I hated the fact they lied to me.
What made it worse was the attitude. The staff response felt dismissive and indifferent, as though the issue simply didn’t matter. It stopped feeling like a maintenance problem and became a customer service problem. Being repeatedly told something is resolved when it clearly isn’t is frustrating, especially when you’re away from home and just want to relax in the evening.
As a brand that is very well established in the UK, I was genuinely surprised. In my experience, this would not have been handled this way in a UK Premier Inn. That consistency and reliability is what people trust the brand for — and unfortunately, that standard wasn’t met here.
The location is good and the bed was comfortable, but when basic issues are ignored and concerns are brushed off, it really affects the overall experience.
Would I stay here again? Probably not — not because of the broken TV, but because of how it was handled.
