"This is a very charming, classic hotel. There are neat features like the spiral staircases to get to the second floor on the original section of the hotel and a classic drive-thru entrance. Our room was very clean. Everything worked as it should, including the jacuzzi tub. There were some things that needed to be addressed, like the general state of the hot tub room (different than the jacuzzi in our room, some of the ceiling coming down and just in need of other repairs) and the fair amount of moss growing on the deck form our room that needs to be cleaned off. It was nice to have a room overlooking Lake Michigan. The continental breakfast was pretty lame. We went and sought out breakfast at the Harbor View Cafe down the street a little way. That was excellent! Despite the several issues, I would still recommend this hotel, and we would like to come back in the summer (we visited in October while on a color tour)."
