"Perfect, great easy "

"This hotel is a charming landmark, renovated old hotel in a location that is very convenient to eighth Street and Golden Gate Park. It is well appointed, with clean, comfortable rooms and has a period charm. The staff is very accommodating. There is a dining room where a better than average breakfast is available every morning and you can bring your own food and eat there. It is very pleasant and well lit. The breakfast are generous and there are snacks available all day. I highly recommend it."

"The room was very clean and looked like it was recently renovated. There were also no odors, which is important to us as we are allergic to pets and dislike the smell of smoke. I personally liked that the room didn’t have carpeting as it made for a cleaner floor. The motel is on a semi busy street so there is some street noise but the motel was thoughtful enough to provide ear plugs for those who needed it. There are also limited parking spots that’s offered on a first come first served basis....

"I stayed here for a few weeks due to work and it was very pleasant. While it has some dated features it still had very comfortable beds with nice sheets, hot water, very clean and quiet. The cleaning team were very good at their job and very friendly. It’s in a central location with many restaurants to choose from in Hayes Valley. I would suggest the front desk area be cleaner and more attended but I do recommend this place for the price."

"The Grove Inn was great for a quick trip into San Francisco. Close enough to the area. Be mindful it is San Francisco and the streets are definitely full of hilss. If you can walk, everything is close enough. If you can't, Ubers are always available. The hotel itself was clean and secure with the charm of the Victorian Homes that are known for the area. Will definitely return to stay again. Thank you Azizza!"

"Bedbugs. Completely stained bed cover. Hair in the sheets. Next to a loud bar. Dirty in general. I found a bed bug and got a refund and stayed somewhere else. Yes, it’s cheap but I wouldn’t sleep here for free."

"The absolute best bed & breakfast in San Francisco! Cleanest rooms, friendliest and most attentive staff, great location, most delicious breakfasts and snacks/baked goodies throughout the day. Our son graduated from USF this past Saturday and we’ve consistently stayed here. On our next trip to S.F., just to visit and explore more we’ll stay there again!"

"Staff was very helpful . Continental breakfast was excellent. We had a room with 2 single beds which was fine . The room was comfortable, well heated, . Shower was quaint and not well suited to a handicapped person. Overall , a well located and most enjoyable stay."

"The room was clean and the staff were attentive. The location of the hotel was perfect. So why did I take a star off? Well, first of all the beds were not very comfortable. The beds were too soft and kinda sloped off the sides so you felt like you were going to roll off. The bathroom layout was ridiculous; there was a ton of empty unused space in the bathroom when more counter space would have been helpful. "Our experience with this hotel was extremely disappointing and raised serious concerns. We accidentally left our passports, cash, and a smartphone in the locked room safe and realized it about 24 hours after check-out. We immediately called the hotel and sent an email, followed by another email later that day. Despite having an entire day to locate and secure our belongings, we received no response to either email. When we called again that evening, we were told that nothing had been found....
