"We love this vintage place! Over the past few years, we’ve enjoyed watching them revitalize the place. Many of our colleagues prefer hotels that are more “polished”; but we like the atmosphere here."

"The overall experience was amazing. The view while playing a round of golf was breathtaking, its close to Gettysburg (real reason for stay, and the beds were very comfortable. We enjoyed the hot tub after a day of sightseeing as well. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and were right on any issue we had or found. I will definitely want to stay again!"

"Very loud very early in our room (126) three straight mornings. Lots of booming footsteps at 6:30-7:00 AM; I'm not sure if it was housekeeping or boisterous guests (each day we stayed there were busses parked in the parking lot, so this is obviously a popular choice for large groups of kids). "We stayed in the Kentucky Room of the Welty house for 3 nights in June 2026. We arrived about 845pm. There was no parking, but when I contacted the help line, they were able to direct me to legal (and free) parking nearby to unload. Parking was not an issue the rest of our stay. The grab and go breakfast was ok. The coffee available is all K cups, so again ok. They did have a wide selection of flavors including teas for the Keurig machine. "The room was clean & conveniently located by the first floor exit door. The continental breakfast was ok. I had trouble figuring out how to adjust the thermostat & the room was warm during the night. Also, there was a charge added to our card that we didn't understand. The manager tried to explain it but said it would be taken off when we checked out. That effected our financial decisions during our stay. Otherwise everything was good."

"The bed was comfortable, everything was clean, it was very quiet. It was basically a good place at a good price. Definitely no extras"

"Great location and large room, downside was no staff on site; we needed to call to get someone from the next door diner to open the door. No welcome or further context. Also no staff when we checked out. Rooms are nice and spacious, the outdoors patio and garden are a great opportunity to relax in, but is current quite empty; if they would make this a bit more cosy and welcoming it would be a lot better."
