"We were only here for three nights but loved the time we had here. It was welcoming, spotless and our fridge was stocked everyday with breakfast foods, even bacon. The kitchen was really well stocked as was the rest of the house. For us, instead of being lulled to sleep by the sound of the waves at night, we were able to hear the river and drop off to sleep with that beautiful sound, it really was a luxury home away from home. "This hotel is very tired. Check in was 3pm, yet many of the rooms were not ready until after 4pm. Other customers (Mainly overseas tourists) were given a drink voucher because their room wasn't ready, but we weren't or neither was another Kiwi guest. We eventually asked for one about 1/2 hour later & were given one. The bar area where people were waiting for their rooms wasn't big enough to accommodate everyone. "You can only turn into the driveway from one direction so it meant we had to u-turn to get in. There is no lifts so needed to use stairs with suitcases. Staff was lovely and friendly, and the view was gorgeous!"
