Our 2 night stay was mid- week.
Positives: The staff greeted us well and showed us to our beautifully decorated, clean room. The toiletries, tea/coffee making items were of a good quality. The hotel is in a quiet location not far from Morecambe. It’s a pleasant village. The first night, we reserved a table for dinner. It was good services and most items on the menu were available. In the morning, the breakfast choices were good with plentiful quantities. In the room, the wifi was good on the first night.
Negatives: As the hotel was nice, I wish I had no negatives, but sadly, I do need to mention a few just to inform you. During the night, the room was too hot, we did have the window open but did this not help. On the second day, at breakfast, there was no fruit or croissants! Later, we went to book dinner for 7 and arrived in the early afternoon to book it. We were told there were no tables available at all. The advice was to go to the bar area where the menu was the same. It was first come, first served apparently. We arrived just before 7 pm and were told there was no room in the bar but we could go to the outside bar BUT food would not be served after 7pm. Meanwhile, in the restaurant, every table was empty! Understandably, we found this frustrating. We ended up going elsewhere to eat. In regards to the wifi, on the first night it was super but on the second, we could not log on in any area of the hotel.
We were hoping for a great stay, sadly, we were disappointed.
