"We stayed at Spirit of the Lodge and liked its beautiful location. Surrounded by nature and right by the river. The staff were friendly and happy to help, which we appreciated throughout our stay. That said, there were a few aspects that fell short of expectations, especially given the premium price. Fishing was a key reason we chose this lodge, as we were told before booking that the river was great for it. However, the rainy season made fishing almost impossible, and this wasn’t communicated...

"My wife and I really enjoyed staying here for the two nights we were in Ollantaytambo. Antonio and his wife are wonderful people. They explained the valley and city and had a great recommendation where to watch the sunset. They arranged transportation for us. Breakfasts were great. "I had an amazing stay in this property in two separate occasions. The staffs were amazing and very accommodative. The room was very comfortable and amazing. Breakfast was awesome. Restaurant food and staff were just 5 stars. The only gripe is, I did not get the VIP perks/benefits as a Gold member of Expedia. But in the end I am really glad that I picked this hotel."

AMAZING! And 5 Star Customer Service

"There was a miscommunication on my reservation and what Hotels.com gave me and my cousin and I showed up to the property with single room booked! The hotel was able to adjust our reservation to a double room at no charge - and this was completely my mistake not paying close enough attention at booking.... They were absolutely nothing but kind, caring, and very accommodating! The rooms have a bit of a walk, or some of them you repel into - and it can be a bit treacherous at night. The staff walked us to and from to ensure our safety and showed us the property and amazing views of the sky and Ollantaytambo. I can't want to come back again! "
