"The rooms a authentic, beautiful, well appointed and very clean! The staff are extremely helpful and kind especially Samir who helped us with our heavy luggages. Their breakfast buffet selection is delicious. Parking is an issue in Matera but they reserved us a parking stall in a covered parking garage and contracted taxis to get us to and from the hotel. I highly recommend Cenobio Hotel!"

"A perfect hotel consisting of cave dwellings beautifully restored 2 years ago. Everything about the experience of staying there was magical. The rooms, the breakfast, the staff, the underground pool, all exceeded our expectations. Definitely worth staying for more than 1 night. Thank you all!"

"Great property in an outstanding location near an entrance to the Matera Sassi. Clean rooms and comfortable beds were nice to stay in. In addition to the Sassi access and hotel cleanliness, the breakfast was truly outstanding. It featured a variety of coffees, pastries and fruits along with other breakfast items in an attractive, large dining room. The desk is attended at all times and the building is secured at night. My only mild criticism is better information on parking prior to check in would be a plus. A secured garage is under the hotel and available for $20 Euro per might. I'd stay there again, both for the hotel and the ancient attractions of Matera."
