I have been coming to this hotel since the 90's when it was the Bayshore Inn. This is a lovely old hotel with large rooms, hardwood floors and floor to ceiling windows that let in the natural light. And the hotel is pet friendly and welcomes your fur babies. The hotel manager is exceptionally nice and very accommodating and the housekeeping staff go out of their way to assist with any request. The hotel is right across the street from a whole foods market and the Del Monte Mall making access very convenient. I would recommend thos property to anyone visiting the Monterey area.

Walls were extremely thin and we could hear toilet activity from next room, the people in next room were screaming at their kids, kids were screaming and I realize that is not the hotels problem but walls were soooo thin we should not have heard their conversation to know they were staying another night, the tv and smell their weed. Faucet was very giggly and tub needs a definite makeover. But great location

Staff was very accommodating and suggested areas to see as we were early to check-in. Room was very clean and well stocked. Parking is very easy. Plenty of room. Heater worked fine as it was a little chilly in the evening.

Stay was great. Clean room.. just had an bad odor. Had to purchase a cpl air fresheners. Vending machines where not working Staff was friendly. During our nite stay there was alot of banging.. sounded like someone was moving furniture or construction site all night long. .

We had an unusual experience when we entered our room as the dirty linens from the previous guest were on the sofa bed when we walked it. I let the front office know and immediately a young man removed the dirty linens, without an apology. The ice machine on our floor didn't work. I have to walk to the 3rd floor for ice. Our ice bucket didn't have a plastic liner so, I only used ice for my thermos. The hotel did have good coffee, and a good location. The front office workers were kind too, that helps.

Well the room was somewhat clean and the beds were good and chairs were comfortable and clean. Just the floor needed to be clean and mop maybe some sanitize. The bathroom was OK just at the sink was broken and that property it’s OK place to say for the price just better and lighting and and maybe one more trashcan in the room.

Great location, close to a lot of great things. Staff was friendly and helpful. This hotel is much older and really not well kept. The curtains are yellow and old. It wasn’t the cleanest. Toilet was leaking. I traveled with kids and a crawler, I couldn’t get myself to put them down. It just didn’t give cozy vibes. This stay would be great for someone that needs a quick place to stay that doesn’t mind staying at an older place and a place that hasn’t been upgraded for a while.
