"The hotel itself is decent, and our room was clean. However, several important details were not disclosed before booking, which left us disappointed.
The main reason we chose this hotel over an Airbnb or a property in the city was because it is marketed as a beachfront resort with its own private beach. "The views from the resort are absolutely stunning. We stayed in the Villa Tavolara. It was quiet. The view was amazing. The villa was clean, private, and beautiful. Our only issue was the door to one of the bedrooms was hard to open and it took multiple tries and lots of effort to get the lock to turn. But other than that, everything else was perfect. "Quite possibly the most dishonest hotel I've stayed at.
Whilst it's beautiful and serene, with a lovely beach, please be warned of some of the practices deployed by staff.
We booked an airport transfer upon arrival: the driver arrived at the exact time of us landing (which cabbie does this??) and we were charged a wait time. There was no allowance made for customs or luggage. Very cheap tactic.
They also tried to charge an extra night city tax, which we had not occupied the hotel.
