I traveled from Ontario with my husband and kids — about an 8-hour drive. We visit Mont-Tremblant every few years and absolutely love it. However, this stay at the Hilton started off a bit disappointing.
When we arrived, the room felt very dark and dated. We had a lot of luggage and a wagon, and unfortunately, there were stairs to access the room, which made it difficult to lift everything up. The thermostat also wasn’t working. We had booked for three nights, so it wasn’t the welcome we were expecting.
The next morning, I went to the front desk to request a room change. Rocky was helpful at first and arranged a better room for us after a 4–5 hour wait. But once the new room was ready, I didn’t appreciate her attitude — she kept repeating that she wasn’t supposed to change it and made it feel like she was doing us a big favor, even after I had explained all the issues. Her tone ruined what could have been a much better experience.
That said, the hotel has a beautiful heated swimming pool and a relaxing hot tub, which we really enjoyed. The breakfast was also great — offering a good variety that changed almost every day.
Overall, we love Mont-Tremblant, but the start of our stay didn’t meet our expectations for a Hilton experience.
