She spent a long time on her phone arranging transportation for us for very early the next morning. The building is old, but the rooms were more than adequate and the beds were comfortable. "This is my go-to hotel in Grado. It is modern and clean and more comparable to international hotel standards than most hotels. It's walking distance to the old town. If you get a room on the side of the laguna, you have kind of a cute view of Italian boats. There are a few things I wish the hotel did differently. The AC could go a little bit lower as in some rooms, it doesn't quite get the job done (although it is OK, especially for an Italian hotel). I with the hotel had a pool. Or at least, I wish the hotel had more shaded seating on the roof-top terrasse. Without any sun protection, it is just too hot to sit up there, which pretty much nullifies that they even have that. And I am just not going to use the small indoor pool. I guess perhaps that makes more sense in the winter, but I have only visited in the summer. I like the breakfast they offer. The staff has always been great. And when in Italy, you generally have the problem that the hotel standard isn't close to international hotel standards. I like visiting Grado for a few days, as the old town is just incredible. But for the longest time, not having an adequate hotel was a downer to me, especially compared to many of the international locations I go to. But this hotel has become my favorite. It's obviously not a 5-star experience, but it isn't claiming to be. And the price is more than fair. I'd recommend it, unless you expect a pool."

"Excellent location The little apartment was perfect for us and very comfortable. The entrance of the building needs some painting and cleaning. While the checkout in every other hotel we’ve ever stayed is between 11:00 and noon, here it was 10:30 am which seemed strange. It’s too early!"
