Hotel Dekat Moncus Park

"Tropical Storm Arthur passed through the area on the day of my arrival. Cancelled due to flood warnings. Concerned about driving with 10-20 inches rain predicted. Hotel would not work with me on a credit for a future stay or a partial refund."

"The hotel in itself was good, the staff was AMAZING, but what brought my rating down is the area of town it is in and the prostitution running out of the parking lot. I had two women approach me (a woman) at 4am while I was getting ready to leave the hotel to finish my road trip home asking me if I would like their services. No thank you. Again, the hotel was nice but the area and surroundings were TERRIBLE."

"No cold water in the bathroom sink 1st night. Thought breakfast was included. Apparently was not. It was about $15. Ridiculous. Overused lumpy pillows. Ripped curtains. Not impressed."

"We first stayed here 4 years ago and met Keira. We had been traveling all night and she arranged early check in and was just so helpful our entire stay. When we booked this year I hoped she would be there still and she is. She goes above and beyond to ensure guests have what they need, even personally delivering extra towels to our room. She greets you every time you enter the lobby and gives great suggestions on food and things to do in the local area when asked. The nicest and friendliest...

"Hot water was barely lukewarm and no water pressure at sink and shower. Not sure if this is normal. Bathtub is peeling in big pieces. How they resolve these soon because it was clean and folks were nice."

"The room is clean and comfortable. It is also very quiet. It is a short drive to find some place to eat or go to the mall. Really loved the heated swimming pool and hot tub next to it. However, it seems that a group of people rented some rooms for the weekend so they could use the pool for a pool party. The pool was overcrowded and we could not use it Saturday. It's also had more noise that Friday night."

"Staff upon arrival was not the friendliest, was more worried about being on her cell phone rather than helping guests. Hot tub was not "hot". Overall we love the hotel, not our first visit & not our last."

"Someone else always using the grill area. Night worker was friendly but overpriced for lack of amenities. AC also had issues. And cleaning staff seemed put out that I left a day early (which I was still charged the full stay) because they had to really clean the room and not just change towels and trash. Also parking lot is atrocious."
