"I have stayed at this resort multiple times since 2012. Unfortunately, the standards have slipped considerably over the past 12 months. The garden suite we stayed in is now very dated, it had mould in the bathroom that I had to point out.

"This property is a little oasis hidden away. While a bit tricky to get to as you have to drive on unpaved roads, it's worth it once you get there. The room had everything we needed, and the breakfast was wonderful and included local products.
The location is quite rural, however, the closest town (Ourique) was only a 15 minute drive away. It's not a big town by any means, but there were a few restaurant options and a Pingo Doce and an Aldi for groceries.

"Hotel is nice, however not worth almost $300/night. Room service is terrible-left tag on door to clean and not sure if it fell off or got twisted but room was not cleaned, called at night and no answer, following day front desk said it would be cleaned, went out and 3 hours later still not clean, had to call again, finally got cleaned at 3pm.
