"Hotel and staff were good. Except for the mattress on the bed was very uncomfortable. Very lumpy. Hard on my back. I will probably not stay there again unless mattresses are upgrades"
"We had a bad experience at this hotel. The room was equipped with plantation shutters instead of blackout curtains, and they let in too much light for our 1-year-old son to sleep comfortably.
The hotel did offer to move us to another room, which we appreciated. However, by that point our son was already overtired, and we didn’t want to risk another room change not solving the problem. We ultimately decided to check out and drive home that night.
If you’re traveling with young children who are sensitive to light at bedtime or naptime, it’s worth checking the window coverings before booking."
"There was no air conditioning in the room at all. Only a ceiling fan and heater. We checked in and the room was extremely hot. After leaving all the windows open for several hours it cooled off very nicely but I feel like this should be clearly stated somewhere before you book. The room was nice and clean and the lobby and hallways had air conditioning so that was nice. It was in the heart of the city and prime location to walk all over."
"We were really disappointed with our stay at this hotel. The photos online are extremely misleading and do not reflect the actual condition of the property. When we arrived, we genuinely didn’t even recognize it from the exterior because it looked so different—far more run-down and dated in person.
Inside, the hotel felt very dingy. The carpets were visibly dirty and stained to the point where we didn’t feel comfortable placing any bags or purses on the floor unless they could be wiped down afterward. Overall cleanliness and upkeep were not what we expected based on the listing.
One particularly uncomfortable experience happened early in the morning. As a mom of two currently in my first trimester, I was feeling nauseous and went down to the lobby restroom to avoid waking my family. While quietly waiting for the nausea to pass, hotel staff came and banged on the door, questioning whether I was a guest and asking me to leave. Even after explaining the situation, the interaction felt invasive and lacking in basic privacy and courtesy.
The only real positive was the location—it is within walking distance to many nearby attractions, which was convenient. Theres a nice walking trail nearby which we enjoyed using.
That said, we would strongly suggest looking into other nearby hotels for a more comfortable and welcoming experience."
"Our room was clean and tidy. The bathroom was a bit dark and needed some TLC . The hot tub and pool were nice. The property lay out is a bit confusing. They told us where our room was, but not how to get there. It was down a lot of stairs and that is difficult with luggage. Overall it was a nice stay, but for the money I probably won't return."
"There’s $30 per day parking fee and a $10 per day facilities fee for what is really just a glorified motel.
Don’t do that.
If I wanted to be ripped off by hidden fees, I’d have chosen an AirBnb…"
"We arrived a little early but the room was not ready and told the room would be ready at the time of checking in at 4pm. We returned at 4:40pm without being notified by text or email that the room was ready. Soon after checking in we received the text that the room was ready?"
