"The rooms were very spacious and clean and the beds were vety comfortable. Everybody was so kind and helpful and the breakfast was delicious. My only regret was not being able to stay another night as we were traveling to Assisi the next day. The locat to Lucca was also perfect and tge drive into the walled city was less than two minutes. I can't say enough great things about our hostess and her mom. They we absolutely sweet and wonderful people. The next time, I will use La Chiuso Delle Monache...

"The bed and pillows were too soft for my liking, but that's a personal preference. The junior suite was spacious and comfortable and the shower was good. The gardens are gorgeous and the perfect place to sit for a drink or a quiet (bring your own) lunch or dinner. "We stayed in the Lavender suite, which was a large room with high ceilings and the view from the windows was beautiful. The beds were comfortable, and the shower was good. There was no kettle in the room but there is a kitchen where we were able to make a cuppa and we had a fridge for water etc. The property is right next to the main anfiteatro but the room was quiet. We woke to birds tweeting in the morning. Oh, and there is a very cute, snoring dog!"
