The rental space was a great size. The bedroom was upstairs and the bathroom down. The stairs were a bit steep so care was needed if going down at nite. The farm surroundings were lovely. The restaurant cafe was only opened thur- Sunday. We did not realize this but just brought some food in from the local cheese and bakery shops and used local restaurants. You would want a car to rent here.

Great place to stay
The pictures don’t do it justice. A beautiful, tranquil place. Good breakfast. Parking easy. Accommodation of a very high standard. We had a two bedroom apartment with a lounge and kitchen. And a large outdoor area. They have thought of everything. Highly, highly recommended.

For those who love nature.
After our welcome drink of wine and beer, we were shown to our apartment.There were views over the garden and the fields. The apartment had a full kitchen with fridge, microwave,dishwasher and all cooking utensils. There was also a washing machine and cloths dryer. We were only there for one night but for a family enjoying time together, it was a great place to be. It is a family run business and they did all they could to make our stay as comfortable as possible. The breakfast was delicious with a good variety of lovely fresh treats. Spoil yourself to an afternoon drink and a delicious cake. We wish we could have stayed longer but we had a ferry to catch.

Charming, but with a potential problem.
Charming place, with one problem which was weather related. It was unusually hot. Since there is no AC, it would have been almost impossible to sleep in the bedroom right under the roof without keeping the window open during the night. But there are no screens, the property is a farm, with a significant mosquito problem. Since there are no screens, mosquitoes flew in and kept us awake at night.

Dear Wilfried, Thank you for this honest revieuw and we take your complaint very seriously. It is nice to read in you that you understand the exceptional weather we have at the moment, and that this unfortunately also produces the necessary insects. But I can tell you that we have taken measures where possible. we have now installed solar control in every apartment and this ensures a temperature decrease of approx. 5 to 10 degrees. so that's a good progress. We are now also looking at whether it is possible to place ac, but this is difficult because we are in a national monument and we can not change anything about the building. We have now installed fans everywhere. Concerning mosquitoes, we are still busy looking for a solution. The mosquito plague is very serious this year and we are looking for the solution in providing products with deet in it or an insect lamp. That being said. Were you very nice and understanding guests that we always want to receive. Hopefully you will visit us again in the future. Sincerely Den Heijkant

Quiet place with great rooms and friendly staff
Great quiet location, away from the noise and crowds. Great little apartments, with full kitchen and washer and drier. Very friendly staff with little command of the english language.

Very nice secluded retreat
My wife and I simply loved it, the location is very secluded, rural and picturesque but that is preciselly why we stayed here. I would highly recommend this B&B to everyone. The room also has a washer and dryer plus a full kitchen which we used.

Friendly and very welcoming
I don't usually do hotel reviews but have to say this is probably one of the nicest B&B's I have ever stayed in. I stayed here with my husband and son and right from the start the owners couldn't be more helpful or friendly. The apartment we stayed in was clean, modern and very comfortable. Breakfast was brought to our apartment at a time that suited ourselves and it was a complete feast!, everything that you can imagine and more in a breakfast, far superior to any hotel breakfast. We were brought a big basket of fresh bread rolls, scrambled eggs, bacon, cheese, selection of hams, jams, spreads, yogurt, fruit e.t.c. Far more than we could eat but it was lovely just to have the choice. The farm is very suitable for children also, there are a selection of outside toys for children and also a trampoline. My son really enjoyed feeding the cows everyday and he even got the chance to ride on their tractor around the farm which he loved!. All in all we had a lovely stay here and if we happen to come back to Holland we will definitely consider coming back to stay at this B&B.

The service was great, the breakfast was freshly made and bread freshly baked. Very clean rooms and facilities. The people who own this place are some of the nicest I have ever met very helpful and polite. I would recommend this to anyone.

Zeer ruime woonkamer en douche/toilet. Nr5 is ook geschikt voor rolstoelers. Alles schoon en compleet, ook de keuken. Wat tegenviel was het ontbreken van ontbijt, handdoek en privacy van het zitje buiten. Dat laatste omdat 5 kamers aan hetzelfde deel van het erf grenzen.

Staying in a part of a almost medieval stable of which the overall structure is still used. A box bed is part of the experience. Overall all needed amenities were there, including a cloth and dishwasher. The place was immaculate clean and well equipped. Well worth another stay.

Comfortabel apartement in Brabantse boerderij
Den Heijkant is een prachtig verbouwde boerderij met comfortabele apartementen met eigen keuken en alle benodigdheden om zelf maaltijden te maken en langere tijd te verblijven (fornuis/combi-magnetron, vaatwasmachine, wasser/droger). Inrichting is goed verzorgd. Zeer vriendelijke gastheer/vrouw die direct reageren op vragen. Ligging is prachtig in de natuur met twee koeien als buren. Absolute aanrader voor kort of lang verblijf met mogelijk bezoek aan Efteling of Beekse Bergen.

Der einzigartige Charme der Unterkunft beeindruckt. Rund herum nur Felder und Wiesen. Wir fanden es unglaublich toll. Auch die Gastgeber waren sehr freundlich und haben alle Hebel in Bewegung gesetzt, unsere Wünsche zu erfüllen.
