Very creaky rooms, I could hear the next-door people quite clearly walking about on the squeaky floorboards and even talking. I dread to think what it would be like in a fire – very confusing interior layout and no signs to the staircases, so that you can easily get lost. Not enough parking either. "Hotel is in a good location, ample parking. It's a stately building fairly well maintained, though the elevator access on floor 1 is hindered by the carpeting that restricts the door from opening. Yes you have to manually open the door to access the 50 + year old elevator and make sure it doesnt swallow any body part when the door closes, very cool. "Hotel name is not visible from the street. Parking on site was appreciated. Bar staff were friendly and helpful. The restaurant was 'open' but the cook was not there. After a while they reached her by phone and she would be there in 15 minutes, and was told to take our orders and I paid for two 'specials'. "The hot tub trailer that we had was beautiful. We had an amazing dinner in the restaurant after our arrival.We enjoyed the hot tub in the evening, the rain hitting the metal roof was so relaxing. The bed was incredibly comfortable.The experience start to finish was wonderful and we will definitely come back for a longer duration next time."
