"The property is an old time gem. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Be prepared for lots of horse-drawn carriage. The restaurant was a bit stuffy for families but that is a separate business from the hotel."

"Our family of 4 really enjoyed our stay in a one bedroom suite here. We could prepare breakfast in the kitchenette and we walked everywhere we wanted to visit/eat from the hotel. Our kids loved the pool. I also accidentally left some medicine in a drawer when we left and the staff very kindly arranged for it to me mailed to me. "

"This hotel was perfect for our family of four and small dog. We were greeted with smiles and excellent service from our valet, Mur, once we pulled in. Once checked in we were surprised with delicious, warm cookies from the pleasant front desk staff. We loved the convenience of having a Starbucks on the lobby floor which we took advantage of every morning during our dog's potty runs as well as having a cold pint at Bartholomew's in the evening. "We got in super late (around 2am) and had an issue with the door getting into our suite. Called at 2am and a gentleman called us right back in 30 seconds to solve the issue. Also had an issue with the TP holder and he said we were all set no issues. Location was also perfect, within walking distance of almost everything downtown. "

"Amazing location, close to everything and walkable. Lots of old world charm and very nice staff. Don't book this place if you don't want to adhere to their dress code -- they make it very clear, and it's part of the charm.
