"Lovely hotel the only downside which I had not realised was breakfast started at 8 and we needed to leave at 730. The staff were lovely and provided us with cereal and milk the night before. We eat in the restaurant on the evening of our arrival and the food was excellent."

"I had a warm welcome and my case was taken up to my room. The room was large with king sized bed. All clean, dated, but that suited the age of hotel! There was a small table with kettle and a selection of tea, coffee etc. Large en-suite with large shower. Lots of choices on breakfast menu and cooked freshly. Parking was easy. Location was excellent. 5 minutes walk to Lacock Abbey. Lacock is a very small place but very interesting."

"Firstly ignore the negative reviews as overall the Rudloe is an amazon place to visit. The exterior and interior of the main building is beautifully curated to provide a balance of natural beauty and engineered comfort, elegance and opulance. From the curiosities of the 19th century grand tour to the remnants of culture at high point of the career of the owner, it's all here and skillfully arranged. It's certainly a world within a world and full of interesting moments of relaxation and calm. Some may not appreciate the outside garden which despite it's undoubted personality could have used a little work from a gardener. It reminded me a little of the film 28 years later but there were no zombies. The cheap seats here are in the Coach house where you'll get a bit of a bargain. The rooms are large and the furniture elegant early mid century "mouseman" crafted peices so much money has been spent here. The decor in our room was later mid century warhol prints which rhymed well with the overall theme. A 60 inch television capped off the facilities alongside opening french windows. The toilet and shower cubicle were perfectly acceptable and the whole building was clean and well looked after. Breakfast was included in the restaurant of the mai. Building and served by the excellent staff consisting of various egg combos served on toast or crumpets with coffee. A full English option was available for a surcharge. We both really enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning soon."

"The room booking was wrong but rectified by Trey who did his best to help. The restaurant was closed Sat and Sun evening, even tho other guests had booked table to eat. The female receptionist on Sun morning could not have been less interested in our inquiries about the restaurant closure. The waitresses and other support staff were good and helpful.We suggest that a cover manager is employed while the Manager is on maternity leave. At the moment things are chaotic and i wont be staying there again."

"We stayed in the tower suite which was overall lovely room. For that price, I would appreciate if the amenities are a bit nicer. The quality of the shamoo/conditioner was not very good in my opinion. I found the pillows were useless, too airly and too soft, feels like no substance in them. My neck was in terrible pain when I woke up. The pool was nice but I think it would be good to have a booking system. At some point, too many people came and there were not enough room for everyone. The restaurant was good. Dinner and breakfast were delicious. I liked the fresh flowers displayed there. We didn't interact many staff there, but the lady checked in and out could be more friendly and welcoming though. It was our first time anywhere hotels we stayed at, we were not asked how was your stay? kind of stuff at the check out. I was prepared to give a little feedback of the room, but didn't have chance."

"Location is superb, 100 ft to Chippenham bus station, and leads than 10 minutes bistro from the train station. Room is spacious, so is the bathroom, big and renovated. Courtyard is nice. There is a leisure pool at site too. Huge parking lot at back. The buffet breakfast offered was full English style and truly great. Staffs were super friendly. I stayed here one night to visit the near by Cotswold villages, like Castle Combe, which was only half an hour away. If the windows could be upgraded and AC is installed then this place will be perfect."
