This did not impede our stay but it is something that visitors should be aware of before arriving. Both Gerard and Oda were wonderful hosts and made our time in Trinidad that much better. Gerard gave us daily tips on where to go and what to do. Oda provided us with the best breakfasts and hospitality. They even prepared a special meal for my birthday! The guest house is up the mountain and there are many switchbacks to reach the building. For this reason, we opted to have dinner at the guest house most nights. We felt very safe here and absolutely loved the hummingbird activity on the deck as well as the view of the valley. This is a special place and I would certainly come back. "
