"I came to Poets Cove for 3 nights on a solo trip. First time visiting Pender Island and I came without a car. Poets Cove offers a shuttle bus that comes to pick travellers up from Otter Bay and brings them to the hotel. However, the bus didn't show up and I was stuck at the terminal for about 30-45 minutes. "The Cottage and Castle is absolutely charming, beautifully decorated and situated in a lovely neighborhood of colourfully painted houses and As well it is anIt’s a real gem. However as we returned after an evening out the stench in the air from a soil, composting, wastewater and recycling treatment plant was overwhelming. I there is a solution to this as Chemainus is a charming town and the Cottage and Castle was exceptional! "

"What a nice surprise! We stayed at the Motel 6 because it was affordable and close to the airport. The motel is a bit dated on the outside and a very typical two storey motel but the room we had was extremely clean and well kept. The bedding was new and the beds were comfortable. The sound of traffic on the highway was pretty constant but nothing my ear plugs couldn’t handle. Check in was slick and I’d stay there again. I recommend this place as a nice and clean place to stay if you want...

"The Dashwood is a heritage building and obviously would have many challenges to maintain a top notch accommodation site. Along with being exceptionally clean Dashwood also does a very good job of keeping the authenticity of the building while adding modern improvements with a heritage touch (ie. new soaker tub, sink and toilet fit the look of an old fashioned bathroom). "Staff were EXCELLENT. We had an issue with noise from work being done in a privately owned condo. Although the hotel staff could not stop the work and noise, they did everything they could to lessen it's impact for us."
