"Communal areas were very nice but our room (102) whilst having a separate seating area to the bedroom was poor for a four star hotel. The bathroom was clean but requires an upgrade as the fittings, wall and floor tiling are way past their best. Breakfast was reasonable but not for a four star hotel. I like fresh fruit at breakfast but part of the offering was tinned pineapple and peaches. The fresh fruit bowl contained mainly chopped apple and oranges with very minor additions of other fruits....

"Reading some of these reviews about the pool being dirty and the rooms needing to be updated is complete nonsense. The rooms are beautiful. Our room was enormous and featured a canopy King bed. Air conditioning works great. The pools are extremely clean. The staff at the pool bar were charming and fun. "Second time staying at this beautiful property. What a treat to stay at this perfectly preserved beachside resort. So elegant! Front desk told us it’s all original to the early 1900’s and it’s wonderful. Breakfast buffet is superb. Dinner menu changes every night and we enjoyed dining in 2 of our 3 nights there as the menu, service, and food is better than anything across the street at the beach.
