"Staff were accommodating, room was ok but very dated and the maintenance seems quite slap dash, I would have complained if the room had cost more money. Nice big towels and large bed. Horrible sofa, not only was the backing hard wood, but it was also covered in suspicious looking stains. I couldn’t raise this when I noticed as it was too late to change rooms or anything as I had young kids with me. When I raised this at check out I received a partial refund for the room which was welcomed. I might stay again as the location was very convenient, but only if it’s for the right price."

"Let me just say that the reason this place even got one star, is solely based on a few wonderful people that worked at this hotel. If it wasn’t for them I would have demanded my money back and moved to a different hotel. When booking a room in the beginning of the summer, and when the temperature is above 30c, AC was a must. In the lobby it was a perfect temperature, but when we took the elevator up and the door opened it was so warm, and when we opened the door to our room it was even worse. I’m traveling a lot, and I cannot understand how this hotel got the reviews it did, it is beyond me. We met some very lovely people, the concierge service was marvellous and the lovely lady in the breakfast section that remembered your daily order was 10/10, they make the hotel seem far better than it is. However, we called prior to our stay, and talk to a rude lady at the reception. We met the same lady when we checked in, service was the same.. I can not understand how the different in service levels at the same hotel can vary from 0 to 10? The people at the concierge and the people working in the breakfast section should share their secret, cause it’s amazing. The room was clean, but so out of date. Problems with the showers, not able to turn the heat of in the bathroom and the “AC”? There was nothing but high sound and no cold air. On top of that the windows couldn’t be opened, and I was so hot and humid and it was cooler outside. So unpleasant. I will never, ever go back."

"If you just want a bed and hot shower this place will work for you, however, if you’re travelling with someone else then you had better be in intimate terms as the bathroom is separated by a glass (frosted) wall. The room felt ‘budget’ all be it designer budget, but lack of anywhere to sit other than a very low bed and cold concrete floor made it feel cold and uninviting. We missed the fact there was no tv so was a bit surprised. This place is great if you’re out late and crashing at the end of the day. Fab location with so much on the door step and very close to tube and buses."

"Location was very quiet, safe, lovely area of London. Our large room had views on two sides of nice neighborhood. Not as close to Tube as would like but it worked and bus was also pretty convenient to some of the sites. Had several great local restaurants in walking distance. Room was nice with very comfortable king bed, room to move around, sitting area and nice bathroom separate from sleeping area. Only real complaint was that shower was walk in style with open back. Hard not to get water on the floor. Also don’t count on the storage locker being available. Hotel manager was kind to let us leave our luggage in room after arriving early in the day."

"The hotel is located in a good area, next to Gloucester Rd. underground station, with plenty of shops, pubs and restaurants close-by. It is coveniently located for a short tube ride to most of the tourist attractions. Our club-room was spacious with good heating/AC and a nice bathroom. We have booked to stay again later this year."
