Awesome Tropics. I've been going here over 20 years, back when it also was a Hostel. It was great to see when they eliminated the Hostel and made it strictly a Hotel that they kept the Hostel common areas such as the Kitchen to cook and the Dining area to eat! Love this place !!!!!

This property was a really great stay! I loved the location, the amenities (especially the pool), and the room space. It was perfect for solo traveling. I like the Tropical feel of the hotel especially in decor details. The staff was great along with front desk being so helpful. The only thing that was an issue were the thin walls but everything else was perfect. Will stay again!

The adorable hotel is in the perfect location. 2-3 min walk to the beach, right around the corner from the major shopping area on Lincoln road. It’s also just a block away from Ocean Drive which has more restaurants than you’ll know what to do with. We only spent one day at the pool, because it was so windy we decided to skip the beach. The pool is perfect for sun lounging and going for a dip. I travelled with my two girls aged 15 and 13 and they loved it too and felt totally safe the entire time we were there. The hotel checked in with us daily by text to see if we needed anything which was a great touch. Our flight arrived super early like 8am and we were able to check into our room at 10am. 100% would recommend this hotel.

I stayed here for a full week and loved my experience! The location was perfect—just a short walk across the street to the beach, with so many great restaurants, cafés, and coffee shops nearby. The pool was relaxing, the rooms were clean and comfortable, and the lobby was absolutely adorable and so welcoming. Everything felt thoughtfully designed! The highlight of my stay was definitely the staff. Every person I interacted with was kind, professional, and genuinely helpful. They always made me feel comfortable and went above and beyond to meet my needs. Whenever I reached out with a question or request, I received a response within minutes. The level of customer service was truly exceptional! The concierge was especially amazing. He was knowledgeable, attentive, and always happy to help with recommendations, directions, or any questions I had throughout my stay. I also got to meet some wonderful people from all over the world during my time here. The international atmosphere created such a friendly and welcoming environment, and the company was lovely. Overall, this hotel was great. Between the unbeatable location, beautiful accommodations, relaxing amenities, and outstanding staff, it was an unforgettable stay. I would love to return and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

Honestly could not recommend this hotel more. Was slightly nervous when booking due to past reviews from a few years ago but I believe the hotel changed management maybe 5 or so years ago and has since been completely refurbished. Amazing location just behind the top of ocean drive and near lots of great food places and Lincoln road for shopping as well as lots of convenience stores and pharmacies etc. Rooms were big and clean, as was the swimming pool and the outside area and kitchen was a nice touch also. In terms of value for money this hotel cannot be beaten and is located around lots of luxury hotels so feels very safe. Also only a 20$ uber/lyft from the airport. Hotel staff were lovely and very attentive as were the housekeeping staff. We will be back thank you so much!!

The room was very cold, and you can’t actually control the temperature especially since the AC was facing my bed, which made me feel like an ice cube. no one came to clean it unless you asked the staff. One of the staff members wasn’t friendly, so I just avoided asking. The location, however, was the best part!

Tropics hotel was so accommodating! They had extremely quick responses and responded to all of our needs within minutes - quickest response time from a hotel that I have experienced. Location is also amazing, right on South Beach. Some parts of the bathroom were older and more clearly used, however for the price and service it can definitely be overlooked. Thank you!
