Absolutely awful experience.
Family of 6 & we booked here for 3 nights.
As soon as we got there, I had a bad feeling so I went in to investigate the room before us all going in. The room was open plan with a kitchen & dining area (with 2 double beds) on the ground floor, then stairs going up to another bedroom (with another double bed). As I pulled the 2 beds away from the wall on the ground floor, there were lots of ants crawling all across the skirting boards & the room was dirty, even had a half eaten cookie on the floor, so it obviously had not been cleaned.
We got in touch with hotels.com & was advised to contact the hotel reception, which we did. The hotel reception told us it was nothing to do with them & to contact the apartment private host who they contacted on the phone for us. We complained, but the host said as it was 7pm, she could not do anything & took our number and said she would call us back. She never did. The next morning, my husband pulled the fridge out to see if there was food under there which could have been attracting the ants, & a cockroach ran out. I went to reception & demanded her direct number. I called her & she said to communicate over whatsapp. She got the reception staff to go in & spray somethibg to get rid of the ants, but completely ignored the cockroach situation. We saw another 2 after this, so took pictures and videos for evidence. Absolutely filthy. Traumatising for us & our children.
Currently in the process of taking it higher.
