I booked this hotel as part of my 40th birthday celebration, a trip I had been excited about for months. My cousin and I planned everything carefully for our group, and we arrived in Miami two days early expecting a smooth, relaxing start. After seeing so many recommendations online, we trusted this hotel would be a good choice. It turned out to be one of the biggest disappointments of the entire trip.
We had three rooms, and every one of them had serious issues. My bathroom was completely uncleaned — not just missed, but genuinely filthy. I went to the front desk immediately, hoping someone would take it seriously, but no one ever came. I ended up putting plastic bags down just so we could shower. That’s how bad it was.
My parents’ room was even worse. They had cockroaches. I reported it, and again, nothing. No room change, no apology, no urgency. All three rooms had a strong, unpleasant smell, and we had to buy air fresheners just to make the stay bearable.
The washing machines didn’t work either. Traveling with a toddler, I had no choice but to walk to a nearby hotel to wash clothes. And I wasn’t the only one frustrated — several other guests told me they were dealing with the same problems. The staff acted like none of it mattered.
Breakfast was the same every day, and the staff would start putting things away before the posted end time. On our last morning, they began clearing the area several minutes early, even while guests were still trying to get food.
