"We arrived to our room not being available due to them extending someone else's stay for a night. So, the trip did not begin well. We finally got our room at 5pm the next night. Adan in the beachside "snack" shack was the best and Cleo at the towel bar also! Both greeted us daily and made us feel welcome. We loved our beachside room, however the Emporio (hotel next door) had speakers blasting at our room until 12 or 1AM most nights. Food at the "snack" shack was the best. The two buffets were ok. We generally eat out most nights so the fact that the buffet was mediocre didn't matter much to us. We found it very hard to know what was going on or how things at the hotel worked. We had to seek out help often as no one really helped in that way. We have been to Ixtapa multiple times since 2005, and have tried multiple hotels over the years, if not for the loud music next door I think we would stay here again. We found staff to be kind all except the one beach waiter who would not give us the time of day EVER! He would literally come as far as our chairs and turn around. Was quite disappointing. "

"Room was clean and spacious. When during spring break so pools were extremely crowded with young people. The food was very good and the staff were friendly and accommodating. While on the beach we were approached continually by locals selling trinkets which made it unenjoyable at times."

"We appreciated the nice restaurant and wonderful staff, the convenience of a small store in the hotel, and a great pool area. Everything was very clean and everyone was very friendly. Highly recommend! "

"Pidgeons around the breakfast outside eating area. They need a Falconer to stop by once in a while. Great staff though!"

"Angel the bellman, and the front desk manager, female , glasses awesome attitude, made my overall experience. She held my hand literally to my room. I had expectations and upon arrival there was co fusion, the bellman took it upon himsepf to take prder and accommodate my request along with front desks help. I got a baller patio (3408) down side my ac wasnt pushing to be as cold as i would have liked it. Their tech was out for the evening , they pffered me another room but i didnt want to give up my patio. Lol so i asked for a fan and they got me 2 instead until the next day. Very kimd staff. I would return and even ask for the same room becuase of the view and space it had to offer. "

"We had a great stay up until the last day when the issue happened in PV with the cartel. Our flight was cancelled and we had to stay 5 extra days which the hotel was able to do. However we were able to get an earlier flight and have not been able to get a refund from the hotel after we checked and they said we would. I would give them a much higher rating if not for this and not responding to my enquiries "
