"I had the pleasure of staying at Villa des Iris at the beginning of December. For the first time after several months of traveling, I unfortunately, made a mistake in my dates and arrived unannounced and unexpected. That said, Jack and his wife were so welcoming and kind and accommodated me for 2 (vs the originally booked 1 night). I was the only one staying in the villa, but I had a very cozy and wonderful stay while I visited Bervais and Amiens."

"The room was clean and the beds very comfortable. The restaurant was good. However there is nothing else around. We were on our way to La Rochelle and it was a good stop off point for one night. Staff were helpful and very pleasant. Parking very easy and just of the autoroute"

"Could be my favourite hotel. Ever. The staff(owners) are lovely. Gave a tour of the wine cellar which was SPECTACULAR! Like a cathedral. The decor was brilliantly done. The breakfast buffet was excellent. The room was beautifully decorated w all new fixtures. The garden patio was out of a movie. Beds were king size and perfect. I have never stayed in a hotel with more attention to detail. And the town is the most perfect medieval town I have seen in France. We had dinner at Henri IV square...

"This is a little gem of a hotel. Ok language was challenging, no English and I had forgotten most of my French.. but they couldn’t have been more welcoming. Room was clean and tidy. Menu, though limited was tasty. If you want an authentic French experience rather than an impersonal international, this is a good choice, Would definitely stay there again."

"As a budget traveller you don’t always get good accommodations. This hotel is in Beauvais but at the very edge of town. There is no indication where the entrance driveway is. The evening staff do not speak English. The room smelled like sewage. I think the smell was from the air conditioner. I you were not a slim person you would probably not fit into the shower cubicle. I would not recommend this hotel"
