We had an easy one night stay here after the Theatre with our 2 girls. The only complaint would be that the beds were quite small and way too firm, while the pillows were very flat and uncomfortable. It was very hard to get a Good nights sleep. Breakfast was lovely and some great options. Staff were friendly and inviting.

The location was top notch, tram just outside the door and is only 2-3 stops from the main shopping areas. It is also walkable to all dining options around. The hotel feels nice and new, clean carpet, walls and furnishings. Bathroom is nice and roomy, most rooms looks big enough too. Bed was a little firm for our liking but add more pillows for comfort makes it ok. The staffs were great but not plenty of them all the times. Breakfast was not that good i didn't think they had much options happening but i could be picky because I've been to better ones. We didn't get to check out the pool and other stuff they had offer while staying there. Overall i would return for short stays it's very convenient and the room just looks so pleasing how they decorate and make the bed.

Poor Value
Not worthy of 5 stars overall as a property when compared to other main players in the international hotel market given its target market and price point in the luxury hotel segment. At least the rooms are comfortable and modern. The level of service at Le Meridien isn't exceptional, nor good, just satisfactory- something I would expect significantly better from a hotel claiming to be luxurious and premium. We had a maintenance issue inside the room which was addressed immediately- great. Room service isn't really a specified time. We requested for room service at 10am on our room button however, when we returned to our room at 3:30pm and the room had not been attended to. There is noise on the northern side of the property at night up until midnight due to a laneway which can be heard from the rooms. Keep in mind there is a credit card surcharge of 1.5%. Pay with debit or cash to avoid this.

Not a Five Star Property.
This is far from a five star hotel. Small rooms, dreadful soundproofing, one of the worst hotel breakfast experiences I’ve ever seen at this price point. We didn’t get to experience the pool as we left after one night and checked in elsewhere instead. The staff were helpful with arranging a refund. Our expectations, given the exorbitant rate for the weekend we stayed (a certain America singer was in town) was flawless service and luxurious surroundings. What we got was a hotel that’s style over substance and with a product that might pass as four star on a good day. Would not recommend.

Nice hotel in great spot for walking to many of Melbourne's attractions. Vast and varied food options within easy walking distance. The Deluxe room we stayed for 2 nights was well appointed and the bathroom was very well put together and we liked having a rain shower option. Only downside was room a little small when compared to rooms we have stayed at in Sofitel and Grand Hyatt. But would be happy to return to Le Meridien on our next Melbourne visit.

Fabulous new hotel in Melbourne CBD
Fantastic location in Melbourne CBD, easy walk to Aus Open. Beautifully appointed rooms and especially the bathrooms. Nespresso machine a nice touch. Gym and rooftop pool were fantastic and used by both adults and teens in our family. Plenty of cafes and restaurants close by. Would definitely recommend.

Room was very nice. Beds were comfortable and the daily service to tidy room was on point. Pool and sauna were nice and the gym was decent. The food at the cafe downstairs was terrible. Frozen reheated lasagne that was still cold in the centre. Took over 30-minutes to arrive. Buffet breakfast is very basic and probably more worth heading to a local cafe for the same price.

Lovely rooms, lovely service, lovely pool. Drawbacks, room service quality could be improved, it is at the higher price end for room service and sadly at the mid to lower end for quality. Particularly pricey for children’s offerings and has things many children wouldn’t like such as watermelon fingers that came covered in pistachio crumbs (I washed off). The pool while beautiful was over crowded with nowhere near enough seats, lounges or just a general clear surface to put down a towel. It was a 30 degree Saturday but still I think venues should build their facilities to suit their peak guest load. We all had to become a bit friendly. Breakfast buffet had a good range and good quality.

Staff were really friendly and helpful across all areas. The room was clean & well appointed but decor & look was underwhelming, that said the bathroom fit out was great (except for window into room) Experience on whole was excellent - really enjoyed the pool area

Great stay. Breakfast buffet was the one let down. The hot food was quite low quality and the servers could have been a little more attentive. It felt like we were chasing them down and we were a bother when we needed anything. But overall a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

Fair, but poor service
Pool area was great, however the bartender didn’t know was Rosé wine was, and when he eventually figured it out he served it warm. Also was of no help when asking for more pool towels as he didn’t know the number for reception. The pool area needs better service. People had left their towels on the loungers and were no longer there, however as it was busy nobody knew if they were still taken. Also 2 groups moving all the loungers and chairs and setting camp, all other guests that wanted a place to relax had nowhere to sit The hotel buffet breakfast is nothing to write home about. I guess the recent reviews in the age of the Dolly restaurant should have been a fair warning. The hotel has a lot of potential, just not at the same standard as the Marriott pier one in Sydney.

Decent but not a 5 star standard
Room was decent, modern, with spacious bathroom. Swimming pool was small but the atmosphere was incredible. However, I don’t think the experience met the standards expected of a 5 star hotel for a number of reasons: 1. In room dining was expensive and underwhelming. The lasagne we ordered was delivered cold - at a 5 star hotel you would at the very least expect that the food would be heated correctly. 2. Some stains on bathroom floor. Didn’t seem like the floor was mopped. Our window was incredibly dirty on our room in level 1. 3. Many 5 star hotels provide more than just a complimentary 350ml bottle of cool ridge water. We were shocked to find out that at 500+ a night everything was paid out of pocket regarding snacks and mini bar. Extras included 3 coffee capsules and two satchets of English breakfast tea. 4. Staff were not particularly friendly. Uninterested in our experience and no questions about how the stay was whatsoever.
