"This hotel surprised me! It is beautiful, the room was big and has a nice kitchen to use if wanted. No oven/stove but it has a full sized microwave and full sized refrigerator. Also a dishwasher and plenty of dinnerware and drinkware. The hot breakfast is also very nice and fresh. Aleays fresh coffee in the lobby and even dog treats for the pups!
Didnt use the pool but did sit outside by the firepit one night. The hotel provided smore's! "
Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Melbourne West/Palm Bay

"Once I arrived to the property, I was disappointed when I walked inside. It didn't look like the pictures online( or the high reviews, either) when I made the reservation online. It looked somewhat outdated, and could use a renovation. Also, I didn't realize before booking that it was carpeted through out. I don't like staying at properties that have carpet in the hallways, and especially in the rooms. Those properties usually have an odor, or sometimes a lingering unpleasant scent after a period of time; just like this property has! When I walk in a hotel, I don't want to smell anything- pleasant or unpleasant! No scents please, only fresh air! I asked for another room, because of the scent in the room, and Colleen at the front desk went out of her way for me( above and beyond her job description ), to personally look for a room that didn't have a loud scent! I want to smell fresh air, only! The next room was better, but still had a scent/odor, too. The rooms were clean, but looked cheap/outdated, and they didn't make it easy to use their Wi-Fi. Very limited tv channels, but that was minor for me, because I don't watch a lot of tv. For the price I paid, I have stayed at better hotels. I regretted not going with another hotel that I looked at, first. The breakfast was really good, not a huge selection to choose from, but adequate. Colleen at the front desk was professional, genuinely friendly and kind! Barbara, at the front desk, (during checkout) was very nice and helpful. "
